AEP ended, Now What?
The Annual Enrollment Period has ended, and Christmas is fast approaching. Now is the perfect time to reflect on the efforts you made in 2018 and the changes that you can make to ensure your success in 2019.
Did your referrals buy? If referrals from current customers, friends, or relatives were not what you expected, the reason most likely is because you may not have accurately “painted a picture” of your ideal referral (that is, the person you can help). For instance, make sure your sources know that you can only help someone with a Medicare Supplement and not a Medicare Advantage plan. If you can do both, but were not getting any Med Supp referrals, touch base with your sources again to let them know what you can offer.
Did you contact everyone? If not, why not? Poor time management and inconsistent follow-up are the top two reasons agents cite when asked why they didn’t meet their goals.
