Meet Our Team

Rebecca was born and raised on Long Island, New York, the fourth of five children in a family steeped in the values of faith, and commitment. After graduating from Sayville High School, she continued her education at Suffolk Community College while working at her family’s business, Hometown Insurance Agency.

At Hometown Insurance, Rebecca progressed through a variety of responsibilities, reaching her current position of Chief Executive Officer in 2009. Some of her accomplishments include the achievement of VIP status with The Hartford Insurance Company and Elite status with Travelers Insurance, both prestigious distinctions in the insurance industry.

Rebecca is a Chartered Property Casualty Agent (CPCU) and a member of The Alternative Board, where she has earned multiple achievement awards for outstanding leadership. Along with her substantial career involvement in the insurance industry, she has been able to apply her strong sense of values to the formation and development of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC).

In 2011, Rebecca formed AMAC Senior Resources Network, Inc. as a vehicle to offer AMAC members guidance and choice with their health-care insurance options. AMAC Senior Resources Network has been recognized as one of the top 10 producing agencies for 2014.  Rebecca is Editor in Chief of the AMAC Advantage, the magazine of The Association of Mature American Citizens, and spearheads AMAC’s business development and employee training initiatives. Rebecca’s belief that everyone deserves the chance to “earn more and live better” is what makes AMAC Broker Services a unique opportunity for agents across the country, and contributes to its growing success.


kurtKurt A. Meyer

Vice President of Operations

Kurt Meyer is an executive with over twenty-three years of corporate management experience. He began his career in the defense industry then entered the financial services sector. His entrepreneurial business acumen and success in leading corporate expansion efforts compelled him to establish Strategic Business Network, Inc., in 2006, a management consulting company. In 2007, Mr. Meyer was fortunate enough to meet Dan Weber and the rest of the senior management team at AMAC. After consulting for the company, Mr. Meyer joined the AMAC family in March 2015 as their Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

As a community leader, Mr. Meyer has served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations including: The Better Business Bureau of Central New England, Inc., The Long Island Works Coalition, The Children’s Sport Connection, and The Alzheimer’s Association, Long Island Chapter. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center and the LIU Post Alumni Association. In December 2013, Mr. Meyer was accepted into the National Association of Distinguished Professionals, a national association comprised of executives and professionals throughout the United States. Mr. Meyer currently resides in Fort Salonga, New York with his wife, Lynn and their two sons.


carlCarl Hohsfield Jr.

Vice President of Business Development

Carl F. Hohsfield Jr. is a key part of the AMAC Broker Services leadership team—a multi-talented professional with a drive and enthusiasm that leads to results.

Carl earned a BA in Communications and Journalism, with emphasis in Public Relations, from the University of New Mexico. After a stint in restaurant management, Carl began his career in the health insurance industry. His current responsibilities  include development of the AMAC Broker Services market reach in the area of Medicare and Medicare-related products.

Carl and his wife have two children and they make their home in Corrales, NM. Carl is very active in his community, and volunteers as a baseball and football coach. When not on the field, Carl and his wife can be found renovating the old, adobe, fixer upper they call home.


Brian Gay

Vice President of Agent Services & Administration

Brian was born in Orlando, Florida, and raised in Apopka, Florida. He is the oldest of three, with one brother and one sister. After graduating from Apopka High School in 1996, he attended Seminole Community College. His values, training, and expertise enabled him to build a successful professional career.

He began his professional career in 1999 by managing multiple Hungry Howie’s Pizza Restaurants.  In 2008 he became an Independent Insurance Agent. From 2009 to 2012 he was the owner and manager of his own insurance agency with multiple agents working under his direction. Brian is currently is licensed in 50 states and Washington, DC.

In 2013, Brian joined AMAC as the manager of the newly-created, under 65 Health Insurance call center. His responsibilities include hiring and training of agents as well as maintaining carrier relationships. Brian has made major contributions to his position and the department. His strength of character and sense of commitment are driving forces in AMAC’s rapidly-developing success.


sherriSherri Angell

Assistant to the Vice President of Agent Services

Sherri joined AMAC in July of 2014 in the Individual Major Medical department after 15 years as an area manager with Westgate Resorts. She has been instrumental in building the AMAC Broker Services department.

Sherri attended Indiana State University where she pursued a degree in Social Work before moving to Florida 22 years ago. She lives in the country town of Umatilla, with her dog and horse.


Andrea Rogers

Vice President of Channel Development

Andrea Rogers began her insurance career at Hometown Insurance Agency of Long Island which was founded by her father. She attended Suffolk County Community College before moving to New Mexico in 1990.

For ten years she worked as a Property and Casualty Producer with HUB International, managing a diverse book of clients. In 2014, Andrea re-joined the family in the New Mexico branch office of the Association of Mature American Citizens, and AMAC Small Business Solutions, where her duties include the development of national insurance programs.

Andrea serves as board secretary of Haven House, a domestic violence shelter. She is also the director of the children’s program at Church Alive. She and her husband have six children and seven grandchildren. In her spare time, Andrea is pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
