2017 Medicare Open Enrollment & Marketplace Open Enrollment
2017 Medicare Open Enrollment: October 15, 2016 to December 7, 2016.
Medicare Open Enrollment 2017 has begun! Agents are working hard to help seniors enroll for the first time, or make changes to their existing healthcare plans.
Although there are not many changes for 2017, premium alone will not be the only reason to shop. Seniors are concerned about shrinking – or disappearing – networks. Many will find that their doctor or hospital no longer accept their plans.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation report released in September, between 2007 and 2014, only about 10% of enrollees switched plans, despite the fact that enrollees who switched saw a decrease in monthly premiums. Many seniors might not be aware that they can realize savings by making a change at this time.
