New Ameritas Plans Available in time for AEP!

In preparation for open enrollment, new PrimeStar® individual products will be launched tomorrow on August 27. Dental plans were updated with new plan names, increasing dental maximums on certain plans, and separate in- and out-of-network benefit percentages for Preventive, Basic and Major services. Vision plans and rates did not change in 2025.
Updated product flyers are available on the agent marketing site for you to use during your enrollment meetings.

When can I start selling these plans?
Ameritas-appointed agents can sell individual dental and vision plans through their shopping link now. New plans and rates will be available through your existing shopping link August 27. Updated marketing materials and training videos are available now at Agent Marketing Wholesale (insert https://explor.ameritas.com/agentmarketing/)
What if my client wants to change plans?
If your client wants to change to a new dental plan, it’s allowed upon renewal. They should contact Sales Connect Team at 888-336-7601.
If your client is changing from an Ameritas group or individual plan to an Ameritas PrimeStar individual plan, contact the Sales Connect team.
How do I know if my client receives credit for prior dental coverage (CPC)?
The policy will show CPC validation with higher coinsurance listed as day one benefits. You can see this information the next day in your producer portal, in the member record. It is also available in the plan details on the review page during enrollment.
CPC is available when transitioning from a fully insured dental plan. This does include Medicare Advantage plans, but not Medicaid plans. If qualified, the highest level of coverage for Preventive, Basic and Major dental services will apply day one. The annual maximum will remain at the day-one level and will increase after year one.
